Preparing a turkey is not a hard thing to do. Just remember that turkey can get dry very quickly and to baste it is essential. Use a seasoning mixture to rub on the turkey cavity as well as the outside. Some people rub butter on the outside to keep the breast moist and not dry; I use olive oil.
This turkey in this picture is for the soup kitchen that I volunteer. We are cooking a Thanksgiving meal for the homeless and I volunteered to cook one the the many turkeys. I know they will enjoy all the cooking that all the volunteers are doing for them. God bless them!
